September 8, 2005,
London - Azure Solutions, the revenue-assurance company, today
announced that it has implemented a mediation and call-record repository
system for Lebara, a European MVNO and carrier wholesale provider.
Lebara routes millions of minutes of international traffic from major
carriers through its own global switching and network infrastructure.
Lebara recently implemented a new switch on its network and therefore
required an effective mediation system to take CDRs (call detail
records) off the switch to process through its billing system.
The Azure mediation management tool, Diamond, collects multiple feeds of
event records in any format and performs validation, error handling,
filtering and multiple-feed distribution. Diamond is ideal for
situations where multiple records need to be normalized and filtered to
produce a standardized feed into billing and fraud systems, etc.
Azure's end-to-end revenue-assurance product portfolio for
current-generation networks includes Data Integrity, Wholesale and
Interconnect Billing, International Settlements, Fraud Management,
Mediation Management, Translation and Rating, Event Integrity and Route
Optimisation. Azure's next-generation revenue-assurance product
portfolio, includes Azure Inter-Party Management and the recently
launched next-generation Azure Fraud Control System.
John Cronin, president and CEO of Azure Solutions, said: "Mediation is
an essential part of any revenue-assurance programme as it allows
operators to capture and manage data effectively. We are delighted to be
providing Lebara with a mediation system and envisage further potential
cross-selling opportunities for our product portfolio."
Rajeet Nair, operations manager at Lebara, said: "Azure's reputation as
a trusted vendor and its large product portfolio made it a good choice
to work with. By having an effective mediation system in place we can
ensure that all our event data is captured, enabling us to deliver the
highest service to our customers."
