Amdocs (NYSE:DOX) , the leading provider of software and services to enable integrated customer management and the intentional customer experience(TM), has received a “Very Strong” overall viability rating in two Gartner market reports: “Dataquest Insight: BSS Market Overview and Strategic Scorecard for Vendors, 2007″(1), and “Dataquest Insight: OSS Market Overview and Strategic Scorecard for Vendors, 2006″(2). “Very Strong” is the highest possible rating in the reports.
Gartner evaluated vendors on the scope of their products, market understanding, offering strategy, geographic strategy, sales strategy, market responsiveness and track record and overall viability. Nine vendors were evaluated in the Business Support Systems (BSS) report and 11 vendors were evaluated in the Operations Support Systems (OSS) report.
Amdocs is the only company to offer a combined BSS and OSS solution that delivers complete visibility of the customer, the network and the service. The combination helps facilitate service providers’ transition from legacy to next-generation networks and systems, and helps them rapidly launch new converged services that quickly turn network investment into service revenue.
“We believe Amdocs’ ranking in these reports reinforces the fact that we continue to deliver a market leading portfolio of BSS and OSS solutions designed to support true convergence and reduce the risk of transformation, while ultimately improving the overall customer experience,” said Michael Matthews, chief marketing officer at Amdocs. “In addition, we think the ‘Very Strong’ ranking in the OSS report demonstrates the strength of Cramer, Amdocs OSS Division, and its ability to meet the strategic needs of service providers that are embarking upon OSS transformation initiatives.”
