First Hop Appoints Keith Gibson as Chairman

First Hop announced today that it has appointed industry veteran Keith Gibson as the company’s new Chairman. Keith’s appointment marks a period of rapid development for First Hop, as mobile operator interest in its business solutions continues to grow.

Keith Gibson, Chairman of First Hop said: “This is a very exciting time to join the Board of First Hop, as it moves into a new phase in its international growth and development. Keith Gibson has nearly three decades of experience in the telecommunications industry. He has been instrumental in developing profitable international strategies and leading management teams in Europe and the USA. He began his career at GPT/Marconi Ltd and went on to hold senior management posts at WSI, Fujitsu and Comverse Technology. As EMEA MD at Coherent Communications, Keith grew the business at a rate of 40% per annum. He currently serves on two boards and chairs a public service council. [Read more…]

Tech Mahindra Completes Deployment of RateIntegration’s PriceMaker Enterprise Pricing Server

Intec launches Intec CEMS

Intec, a supplier of BSS/OSS solutions to the global telecom industry, announced today the availability of the new Intec Centralized Error Management System (Intec CEMS). Using Intec CEMS, service providers can cut revenue losses by dramatically reducing error volumes, lowering the costs of managing errors, and recovering revenue from unbilled usage and service order errors. One major carrier using Intec CEMS recorded a 90% reduction in its aged error write-offs and a 60% reduction in its error volumes. The product has already been short listed for an award, in the Best New Product category of the TeleStrategies 2006 Billing & OSS World Excellence Awards for Achievement in Innovation.

Intec CEMS addresses a common but increasingly costly problem for carriers: errors between the services supplied to or ordered by customers, and what customers are actually billed for. Intec CEMS has been proven in Tier 1 carrier production environments where on average 90% of all incoming errors are applied to case logic or corrected automatically within Intec CEMS without user intervention. Argent Networks Acquires Australian Telecommunications Solutions Company Integration Management

As an operational support system (OSS) provider, Integration Management (IM) provides revenue assurance and settlement solution software to some of the largest telecommunications carriers in Australia, Asia, the Middle East and theUnited States including AAPT, Telecom NZ, Celcom of Malaysia, PLDT of the Philippines, and Indosat of Indonesia.
