Azure Solutions, the revenue assurance company, has been named as a finalist in three categories for the World Billing Awards 2006. The categories that Azure has been short-listed for are: ‘Overall Best Contribution to Billing’, ‘Most Innovative Billing Product’ and ‘Best Revenue Assurance/ Management Project’.
Azure’s Certo 2 product, the latest version of its automated revenue assurance solution, was nominated as a finalist in the ‘Most Innovative Billing Product’ category. Certo 2 helps operators detect, analyse and correct revenue-leakage problems in real-time and has already been implemented by several customers since its launch in January 2006.
The category for ‘Best Revenue Assurance/ Management Project’ saw Azure being nominated twice for individual projects it has carried out for Verizon LD in North America and Warid Telecom in Pakistan. The projects helped both operators to enhance data quality and business processes, which in turn improved profits, revenues and cash flow.
Additionally, Azure has been short-listed in the overall ‘Best Contribution to Billing’ category, which recognises the organisations that have had the largest impact on the BSS/ OSS landscape over the past year.
The World Billing Awards are widely regarded as one of the highest industry recognitions of billing excellence. Winners will be announced at the Billing and Information Management Systems 2006 Gala Dinner on Thursday 8th June 2006.
John Cronin, CEO and president of Azure Solutions commented, “We are delighted to receive recognition for our work helping global operators carry out revenue assurance projects to award winning levels. The launch of Certo 2 has certainly helped to keep us at the forefront of the market and with many customers having taken up the product already, we expect to be able to maintain these high standards.”
Azure recently announced that it is to merge with Subex Systems to create Subex Azure Limited, the world’s largest vendor in the telecoms revenue maximisation market. The merger is due to be completed in June 2006.
