George Glass, Chief Architect at BT and Tony Sceales, CEO at Celona Technologies will discuss BT’s SOA implementation case study at this year’s TeleManagement World Americas in Dallas. The case study, which is based on one of the largest scale SOA implementations in the world talks about how BT has been able to realise new revenues early whilst delivering reductions in costs through system and process rationalisation.
This has been made possible with the early adoption of leading-edge technologies, allowing BT to transform their business and bring agility to their operations by decreasing system complexity and ensuring close alignment with business processes.
The presentation goes on to discuss how crucial parts of this transformation were made possible with Celona Technologies’ next-generation migration software which delivered BT’s FeatureNet transformation. Through a lights-on, business-driven approach, Celona enabled BT to migrate data and retire costly legacy systems with no loss to revenue or customer service whilst also delivering substantial cash savings to the business.
The presentation will take place on 5th December, 2006

About Celona Technologies
Celona Technologies is the “accelerated transformation” company. We specialise in building and implementing our patent-pending software product, Celona, to accelerate Communications Service Providers (CSP) transformation. Whether its migrating the CSPs business to new operation and business support systems (OSS/BSS) or launching new portfolios of products and services Celona Technologies has the skills and the automated solutions to reduce the time and the cost of the change.
Projects using Celona typically take just half of the time and half of the cost of those using traditional methods, whilst keeping the business running and ensuring total system integrity. Post-migration, Celona delivers improved revenues and reduced costs by improving the agility of the operation and business systems.
Celona Technologies has been in business for over nine years, initially as a Telecoms consulting and development services organisation. The Celona product was devised through the experiences of the company working within the Telco OSS/BSS across fixed, mobile and cable operators. Whilst the technology is applicable to any market, the Celona product is aimed at telecoms operators and service providers.
