Canadian CSP VALO Networks has selected Comarch to provide Smart BSS for B2C and B2B process, to support its innovative, advanced broadband solutions.
Already operational in Alberta and poised to provide the best wholesale technology offer across Canada’s western provinces, VALO is changing how fiber-optic services are delivered to underserviced markets. Working with local partners, VALO’s mission is to create access, connect communities, and modernize existing solutions.
With this ambitious goal of state-of-the-art broadband solutions across such a wide geographic area in a short timeframe, VALO Networks turned to Comarch to provide Smart BSS. This comprehensive solution enabling CSPs to manage complex reseller-oriented sales and settlements processes including request-to-answer, order-to-payment, usage-to-payment, request-to-change, termination-to-confirmation, complaint-to-solution and self-care. Comarch Smart BSS for VALO is delivered in the SaaS model.
The fact that VALO was launching new services and required high responsiveness to rapidly changing business requirements formed only part of the challenges facing Comarch. The timeframe for the project’s MVP was just three months, and Comarch’s solution had to meet VALO’s demands for a comprehensive BSS system that would provide strong foundations for future development.
Ensuring project and operational constancy between Comarch and VALO’s HQ time zones (the former in Poland, the latter in Canada), added a further layer of complexity – a challenge to which Comarch rose efficiently. The project is served from Poland, although Comarch has a global presence, including offices in Canada.
The contract, VALO’s first with Comarch, was signed on August 27, 2019, in Calgary, Canada.
