NetCracker’s Rating and Billing solution will completely replace Canal Digital Kabel-TV’s legacy revenue management system and will provide the flexibility and functionality needed to support the increasing scope and complexity of the company’s product and service offerings.

NetCracker Technology announced today that Canal Digital Kabel-TV has chosen NetCracker’s next-generation BSS for a comprehensive transformation of its billing environment. NetCracker’s Rating and Billing solution will completely replace Canal Digital Kabel-TV’s legacy revenue management system and will provide the flexibility and functionality needed to support the increasing scope and complexity of the company’s product and service offerings.

Canal Digital Kabel-TV is the leading provider of HDTV to customers in Norway. The company offers over 100 different TV channels in analog, digital, HD, or 3D quality via hybrid fiber-coaxial and fiber-to-the-home technologies. A subsidiary of Telenor Norway, Canal Digital Kabel-TV also provides broadband services and telephony.

Canal Digital Kabel-TV will first migrate its VoIP customers to the NetCracker platform, followed by its digital TV and broadband customers. In addition to handling all of Canal Digital’s current billing needs, NetCracker’s solution will enable the company to meet the growing demands of customers for new products and services — given its ability to handle the complex rating and billing requirements of creative bundled offerings and next-generation services such as multichannel video delivery. The NetCracker solution will increase efficiencies associated with operating and maintaining the billing system.
