HickoryTech Sells Enterprise Solutions Subsidiary to Skyview Capital
HickoryTech Corporation (NASDAQ: HTCO) recently entered into an agreement to sell its Enterprise Solutions subsidiary, based in Roseville, Minn., a suburb of St. Paul, to Skyview Capital, LLC, a privately held investment firm based in Los Angeles. Terms were not disclosed. The Enterprise Solutions subsidiary, formally known as Collins Communication Systems Company, provided IP Telephony, call center management and data network solutions, primarily through Nortel hardware solutions. HickoryTech to Provide Digital TV to City of Janesville Minnesota
HickoryTech Corporation (Nasdaq: HTCO – News) announced that it has added Digital TV to the list of communications products and services available to the residents of Janesville, Minnesota.
The Janesville, Minnesota City Council overwhelmingly approved a cable television franchise agreement on Sept. 25, 2006 and Digital TV services will be available to the entire community beginning in the spring of 2007. Residents can subscribe to services on a stand-alone basis or as part of a money saving bundle including Digital TV, high-speed DSL, local telephone, and long distance all from one local company on one bill. HickoryTech Corporation Appoints John W Finke President and CEO
HickoryTech Corporation (Nasdaq: HTCO) today announced that its Board of Directors has selected John W. Finke, 44, to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors, effective immediately. Finke succeeds John E. Duffy, who resigned to pursue charitable interests and will remain with the company until June 30, 2006 to assist with the transition.

HickoryTech Approved to Provide Digital TV to Faribault
HickoryTech Corporation (Nasdaq: HTCO – News) received approval from the City of Faribault, Minn. for a cable franchise to provide competitive cable programming to the residents of Faribault. The company will immediately launch its Digital TV service to Faribault residents. The roll out across the city will occur in phases, with the last phase scheduled for completion in mid-July 2006.
The company also announced the scheduled June 1 opening of HickoryTech’s new Faribault retail office at 25 N.W. Fourth Street. This office will provide local customer service, demonstrate HickoryTech products, and serve as a base of operations for the company’s local employees. A “Grand Opening” event will be scheduled later in June to highlight the company’s presence and commitment to the community. [Read more…]
