MTC Namibia is the leading mobile services provider in Namibia, with in excess of 500,000 subscribers. Portugal Telecom recently acquired a 34 per cent in the company, and MTC Namibia was looking to further expand its reach in the region. As MTC Namibia’s network grows, it wanted to ensure that it had greater visibility of traffic crossing its network and had the tools to minimize its exposure to revenue leakage and reduce fraud on its pre-paid services. Subex Azure Partners with Hitachisoft to Deliver Revenue Assurance Solution to Japanese Telecoms

Saul Nurtman of Subex Azure Appointed Revenue Assurance Chairperson at Global Billing Association GBA

In his role of chairperson, Saul will help to shape the agenda of the Revenue Assurance and Fraud Initiative, as well as represent the GBA at a number of industry events.

Swisscom Mobile and cVidya Networks Initiate a Partnership on Revenue Assurance

Swisscom Mobile and cVidya Networks have announced a partnership in the field of Revenue Assurance. The goal of the partnership is to engage in activities to develop and improve next generation Revenue Assurance best practice and solutions while integrating principles of, for example, business intelligence. The two companies will use the installation of the MoneyMap® at Swisscom Mobile for the development and validation of new and innovative Revenue Assurance technologies, methodologies and principles.

COLT Purchases cVidya Networks’ MoneyMap® for Revenue Assurance and Data Integrity

cVidya Networks, a leader of Telecom Data Integrity and Revenue Assurance Systems, has announced that COLT, a leading European provider of business communications, has purchased cVidya Networks’ MoneyMap® as its Revenue Assurance solution for leased lines and data services. COLT will implement the MoneyMap® solution and software along with cVidya Networks’ professional services. The project will be centrally managed across COLT’s operation that spans 13 European countries.

cVidya Announces Revenue Assurance Solution for IPTV

This makes cVidya the first vendor to provide a revenue assurance solution for IPTV. The solution covers both active and proactive aspects of revenue assurance, making it particularly important at the IPTV service deployment stage. cVidya’s solution was recently validated as the revenue assurance component of the IPTV Catalyst project presented by the TeleManagement Forum in Nice.

Azure Solutions Wins Fraud Detection Contract with Ukrainian Mobile Operator Astelit

Azure Solutions, a revenue assurance company, today announced that Ukrainian mobile operator Astelit is deploying Azure Fraud Control System version 3.5 (AFCS v3.5) to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of its anti-fraud system.

Oguz Memiguven, chief technical officer at Astelit said: “Astelit is always moving forward, aiming to deliver the best technology and service. It was really important for us to find a solution that could both integrate with existing legacy systems, and new data or capabilities as they are introduced. Azure offered this in a package that could be easily configured to suit our needs, meaning that we can now run a stronger and more efficient fraud-detection team.”

As a rapidly growing digital communications technology and service provider, Astelit needed a cost-effective and forward-looking way of detecting and preventing fraud. Telenor Pakistan Selects Interconnect System from Azure Solutions

Azure Solutions, a revenue assurance company, announced that Telenor Pakistan is to implement Azure Interconnect version 9.0 for its GSM services. In addition, Telenor Pakistan will be upgrading its existing Azure Interconnect system for its long distance international (LDI) services.

Telenor acquired a license for providing GSM services in Pakistan in April 2004 and commercially launched services in Islamabad, Rawlpindi and Karachi in March 2005. Its GSM mobile network is now available in 286 destinations and is the fastest growing network in Pakistan. Such has been the rapid growth of the network that Telenor required an effective interconnect billing solution. [Read more…]

Azure Solutions Nominated for World Billing Awards 2006

Azure Solutions, the revenue assurance company, has been named as a finalist in three categories for the World Billing Awards 2006. The categories that Azure has been short-listed for are: ‘Overall Best Contribution to Billing’, ‘Most Innovative Billing Product’ and ‘Best Revenue Assurance/ Management Project’.

Azure’s Certo 2 product, the latest version of its automated revenue assurance solution, was nominated as a finalist in the ‘Most Innovative Billing Product’ category.
