IBS Solution for Telecommunications Providers Gains Recognition from TeleManagement Forum
IBS, a leader in the Russian IT and consultancy Market, has become the first Russian IT company to gain a high assessment for its work from TeleManagement Forum (TM Forum). TM Forum is an international institution, which establishes new standards and methodologies for OSS/BSS design and development for the telecommunications market.
According to Sergei Alexandrov, the Director of IBS’s Telecommunications Solutions Center, “we have carried out a tremendous work, with its outcome being submitted for evaluation; on the part of TM Forum, a group of experts was formed to analyze our proposal for compliance with their internal criteria. The high opinion of experts has become an important international acknowledgment of our performance quality and a significant contribution to future development of the practice”.
TM Forum has evaluated a number of IBS’s solutions, utilizing the results and techniques proposed by the TM Forum experts. HP Deepens New Generation OSS Commitment with Support for OSS/J and TMF Standards
HP today announced its participation in a number of industry initiatives designed to help telecom companies manage voice and data networks more efficiently through New Generation Operations Systems and Software (NGOSS) technologies. The HP Integrated Service Management (ISM) platform is HP’s Operational Support System (OSS) offering. It uses a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to integrate operations and business support systems to help carriers and operators manage networks and services.
HP is enhancing HP ISM with functionality from the OSS through Javaâ„¢ initiative (OSS/J). This initiative focuses on the adoption of standards-based Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and design guidelines for the development of component-based OSS systems. NetCracker Technology’s VP of Strategy Sanjay Mewada Named to TM Forum Advisory Board
NetCracker Technology, a provider of OSS software solutions for global telecom service providers, today announced that Sanjay Mewada, vice president of strategy, has been appointed to the Advisory Board of Directors of the TeleManagement Forum. The TM Forum is a global consortium of communications professionals dedicated to improving the management and operation of information and communications networks and services.
Mewada, who oversees the strategic direction of NetCracker, brings a wealth of knowledge and industry experience to the TM Forum Advisory Board. Prior to joining NetCracker, he served as vice president of the Telecom Software Strategies Decision Service at the Yankee Group, where he helped clients make decisions regarding the use of business and operations support systems (OSS) software and services.
“Sanjay is a well-known and respected figure in the telecom OSS industry, and we are certain that he will be a valuable addition to our Board,” said Keith Willetts, Chairman of the Board of the TM Forum. “His expertise and experience will bring further value to our members.”
