On February 21, 2022, Orange Poland launched across the whole country a new OSS system that fully supports the production and maintenance of the company’s fiber-optic network, based on the Comarch Cognitive OSS Suite.
The goal of this investment was to transform and automate network management and service delivery processes in the area of fiber to the home services, and to facilitate the management of network resources and services. In addition, Orange Poland aimed to reduce the time to deliver services to its customers, and simplify the management of reported errors.
The Orange Poland solution is structured around the centralized, multi-vendor and multi-domain Comarch Inventory Management system, which manages more than 200 million Orange Poland resources, physical and logical. It is complemented by the Comarch Service & Resource Fulfillment and Comarch Service Assurance modules, which are orchestrated by Comarch Service Order Management. Integration with the customer management system is based on standardized TM Forum Open API reference architecture.
The Comarch system brings a number of benefits to Orange Poland, such as the implementation of built-in automation mechanisms to improve the delivery of innovative products to end-customers, API-based access to resource orders by sales systems and customer service systems, and automatic preparation of work orders in the workforce management systems. This comprehensive solution currently serves more than 300 concurrent users and supports the daily work of more than 5 000 technicians in the field.
