Comptel Corporation, a leading OSS software vendor for convergent mediation, charging, provisioning and network inventory, has today announced the availability of Comptel Incatel NIMS, the convergent inventory for mobile operators to help record, plan, assign and manage efficiently the physical and logical resources in their network.

The Comptel Incatel NIMS solution provides a complete inventory of all the resources in the network from the BTSs trough to the core. These include not only the physical resources, such as antennas, switches, and Digital Distribution Frames (DDFs), but also all logical network layers and the available capacity along each network link. Comptel Incatel NIMS includes a reconciliation module that allows the inventory to be kept up-to-date with the network itself. As well as acting as a central repository for information about resources in the network, Comptel Incatel NIMS provides sophisticated planning and routing functionality that can be used to optimise network roll-out and service assurance.
