Comptel Extends Global Presence to South Africa by Opening Cape Town Office

Comptel Corporation (OMX Helsinki: CTL1V), a leading Operational Support System (OSS) software vendor for convergent mediation, charging, provisioning and network inventory, has announced that it is extending its global operational presence to South Africa in order to meet the growing demand for its software in the region. The Comptel representation based in Cape Town, South Africa, will be headed by Mr. Erwin Blomeyer. This new representation extends Comptel’s global presence to a total of 18 countries, serving over 250 customers in over 80 countries worldwide.

The creation of this new South African presence follows recent customer announcements in the region including Telecom Namibia, Sudatel and Maroc Telecom. Mr. Mikko Saavalainen, VP Sales at Comptel commented: “The African continent is currently a very exciting market for Comptel.
