Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in providing customer care, human resources, and billing services, today announced it has been accepted into the “BPO Services Powered by SAP” program. Convergys, the largest holder of outsourced SAP licenses in the world, is expanding its 10-year SAP relationship to help accelerate and increase the global growth of its Employee Care business.
As an SAP partner, the Convergys HR technology platform of full-range HRO (human resources outsourcing) services is in a unique position to offer an exclusive global delivery model for outsourced human resource services by integrating its expertise in SAP solutions. The “BPO Services Powered by SAP” program helps businesses execute a successful outsourcing strategy by actively supporting the set up and ongoing operations of BPO delivery platforms in close collaboration with leading BPO providers.
Convergys and other partners in the program have met SAP’s rigorous certification standards and are re-certified on a regular basis to ensure the continual delivery of high-quality services. Through this partnership, SAP and Convergys are working together to improve the standardization of quality business processes, increase efficiencies, and utilize best-of-breed processes while reducing risk and operation costs. Convergys is currently implementing global SAP BPO initiatives with DuPont and Whirlpool Corporation.
As part of the program’s framework, each partner company provides respective HRO expertise and services based on SAP solutions and the SAP NetWeaver platform.
“Convergys was one of the first organizations to develop an HR BPO service delivery model,” said Karen Bowman, Convergys’ President of Employee Care. “Membership in SAP’s BPO program is the logical next step in providing our multinational clients with HR BPO solutions that are reliable, globally integrated, and technology-enabled.” Bowman added, “Convergys helps its clients maximize the benefits of their service delivery platform and in turn can help companies further increase the return on their mySAP ERP investments on their journey to world-class HR”.
“It is widely known that organizations avail themselves of a fraction of what is offered in the software they purchase, including HR systems,” said Lisa Rowan, IDC program manager for HR and Talent Management services. “Engaging third-party expertise through consulting and business process outsourcing (BPO) is an educated approach to getting more from HR systems investments.” Convergys serves more than 3 million people and manages more than 20 million interactions each year through its Employee Care business.
Convergys’ outsourced HR Services help organizations streamline processes, improve service delivery, lower overall costs, and gain the business insight they need to manage their global workforce as an asset. Convergys’ HR technology platform flexibility allows us to integrate or to build depending on each client’s needs. Convergys is Outthinking and Outdoing [tm] on behalf of its clients every day.
