The increasing importance of critical communications in today’s world is illustrated by a near 50 per cent increase in attendance at the industry’s flagship event in the space of just four years. Critical Communications World (CCW), incorporating the TETRA World Congress, attracted a record attendance at its 2013 event in Paris, and is looking to bring even more visitors through the doors in Bangkok in 2014.
The 2014 event in Bangkok is designed to showcase the on-going growth of and developments in the TETRA market, the advances in establishing LTE as the standard for critical mobile broadband, and the increasing sophistication of control room communications. Together with the latest products, services and applications designed specifically for the mission-critical and business-critical market, CCW 2014 brings the critical communications community together in Asia for only the third time in the event’s 16 year history.
“The potential of the critical communications industry is immense,” said Phil Kidner, CEO of the TETRA and Critical Communications Association (TCCA). “The first time this event was held in Asia, in Hong Kong in 2008, we had unprecedented interest, and the Asian market continues to grow steadily and with undoubted strength.”
Hanna Jackson is Director of the Critical Communications World Series for IIR Telecoms, who organise the CCW series of events in conjunction with the TCCA. “The decision to bring CCW to Bangkok will build on the momentum established by the Hong Kong event, and by the equally successful events in Singapore and Dubai,” said Hanna.
“The size of the exhibition alone increased by 30 per cent this year, and visitors came from 78 countries. With the interest we have already had in the Bangkok show for 2014, we’re confident of offering an unprecedented speaker line-up, a first class exhibition and the best networking opportunities for the Critical Communications community.
CCW 2014 will give visitors the opportunity to network with more than 3000 industry professionals and users from around the world, learn from a huge range of case studies, interviews, panels and presentations, and benefit from specialist streams, master-classes and seminars covering insights on both public safety and commercial TETRA usage.
Prior to the main event in May 2014, Critical Communications World will be presenting the following regional shows: TETRA Congress Americas in New York, 14-15 November 2013, Critical Communications Europe in Amsterdam, 10-12 March 2013, and the specialist Control Room Communications in Vienna from 9-11 December 2013.
