CSG Systems International, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSGS), a global provider of software- and services-based business support solutions that help clients generate revenue and maximize customer relationships, announced recently the selection and implementation of its CSG Interconnect settlement product by Tunisiana, owned by QTEL. Tunisiana selected CSG Interconnect to streamline its operational processes across its business, improve revenues, reduce costs and better optimize cash flow.
Since its commercial launch in December 2002, Tunisiana’s ambition was to become the largest private primary operator in the Tunisia telecommunications market. This is now a reality with in excess of 5 million active subscribers.
CSG Interconnect is a comprehensive interconnect billing and settlements solution that will allow Tunisiana to consolidate and manage all of its partner agreements from a single platform, allowing the provider to better leverage competitive rates, minimize disputes, and reduce potential leakage. In addition to the proven functional superiority of the CSG Interconnect solution, the operator acknowledged CSG’s reputation for on-time implementations and its deep knowledge of the requirements of the market in Tunisia.
Tunisiana awarded the business to CSG for its ability to demonstrate Interconnect’s robust ability to process millions of calls per day, whilst providing a solution which can easily accommodate any future changes of the business. Also owned by QTEL, Wataniya Telecom Algérie has already installed Interconnect and this was a contributing factor in the deal due to the high level of satisfaction with the product.
“We chose CSG due to its worldwide leading position in the interconnection billing area with its ability to deploy a full suite of products in the billing and OSS area,” stated Yves Gauthier, Chief Executive Officer of Tunisiana.
“With CSG Interconnect, Tunisiana is able to substantially reduce its manual processes, speed its reconciliation with partners for faster time to revenue, and easily configure new partner agreements for enhanced service offerings. Tunisiana will also be able to view its interconnect business and value-added services in a holistic fashion through reporting, providing added visibility and control for enabling better business decisions,” said John Rainger, CSG’s Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa.
