Dimetis, a software developer of Operations Support Systems (OSS) and broadcast solutions, has launched OpsNGN, a next generation OSS Orchestration Platform for communications service providers to manage legacy, SDN, and NFV Networks. It helps Communication Service Providers (CSPs) make the business transformation to virtualization.

OpsNGN is a carrier-grade, next generation fluid OSS orchestration platform for hybrid networks supporting legacy, Software Defined Networks (SDN), and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) domains. OpsNGN uses a true Dynamic Inventory model, and provides CSPs with service and network agility, lifecycle service automation, and service assurance. It also provides the power to scale up and out in a multivendor environment. OpsNGN fully integrates with existing OSS/BSS systems. Assisted by a three-layer orchestration abstraction, namely application, service and network, it can interface with and enhance other orchestrators, as well.

OpsNGN has been evaluated in several proof of concepts (PoCs) with global Tier-1 service providers.
