ESKADENIA Software was one of the earliest ICT companies in Jordan to sign an agreement with the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (MoICT) to participate in the Graduates and Internship Program (GIP), aiming at the increase of new graduates’ employment and competence development .
The Graduates and Internship Program (GIP) is an 18-month employment program whereby the Government provides a subsidy of 50% of each intern’s salary during the first 12 months of employment and 25% subsidy during the next six months.
ESKADENIA Software will start training around 12 graduates and will increase this number in accordance with the company’s recruitment plan for the coming year and a half. Employed graduates will start their training at ESKADENIA’s head office and its offices at the Princess Sumaya University for Technology, that were recently inaugurated by HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan and H.E. the Minister of Information & Communications Technology Mr. Bassem Roussan.
New graduates will be working on real time projects of ESKADENIA and provided with professional training to fit the market requirements.
“Jordan’s Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (MoICT) has recently launched the Graduates Internship Programme whereby the government of Jordan subsidises a certain percentage of newly employed graduates’ salary in addition to providing those graduates with soft skills training. A synergy has been created; now we have a leading software enterprise, that is ESKADENIA, a university with outstanding technology and focus on human resources, that is PSUT, and an organised governmental support focused on training and finding jobs to new graduates – a practical example of co-operation between government, academia and the private sector”, explained Ms. Doha Abdelkhaleq, Executive Director at ESKADENIA Software.
