Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) and Etisalat Egypt, have completed their business support system (BSS) project to enhance the operator’s billing flexibility, and provide more service options to its data subscribers and enterprise customers in Egypt. A celebration was held as part of Ericsson’s Networked Society forum in Dubai.
As part of the agreement, Ericsson provided consulting and systems integration expertise for the operator to support service development and make best use of new and innovative services based on Ericsson’s Charging System 5.0 (CS 5.0) and Mobile Broadband Charging (MBC). In addition, Ericsson provided proactive support services allowing Etisalat to offer improved network availability and customer experience to maintain a high level of service quality

Ericsson’s Charging System 5.0 and Mobile Broadband Charging enable operators to provide end users more flexibility and to meet individual demands by managing subscriber accounts on different terminals with real time alerts, personalized features, promotions, rate plans and cross-product bundles for a variety of services.
