Etisalat Sri Lanka has used Comptel’s FWD solution to power CliQ, its new offering designed to allow subscribers to purchase time-based mobile data packages.
In an emerging market where many mobile subscribers are ill-equipped to buy data in expensive bundles based on megabytes and gigabytes, CliQ provides a flexible and transparent approach to purchasing mobile Internet connectivity. Through a native mobile application, users can easily and affordably purchase time-based Internet access, granting them full control and understanding of how they manage and pay for their personal digital services.
FWD is a cloud-based solution that enables contextual, time-based data sales directly from end user devices. By transforming data packages into bite-sized chunks, FWD simplifies the data purchasing process, making it personal for consumers, while maximising operators’ data revenues and leveraging their trusted brands through its customised, white-labelled approach.
Through FWD’s management console, Etisalat can effectively create, price and target the data specifications in minutes, and monitor their performance in real-time. The solution also enables operators to make use of its innovative dynamic pricing capabilities, making it possible for them to differentiate the pricing, for example, between off-peak and peak hours.
FWD continues to gain traction with forward-looking operators in various markets, following successful deployments by New Zealand mobile operator 2degrees; DNA, the leading provider of prepaid mobile subscriptions in Finland; and Robi Axiata Ltd, the fastest growing telecommunications operator in Bangladesh.
