Frost & Sullivan, the world leader in helping companies achieve growth, has appointed Karl M. Whitelock as Senior Consulting Analyst in the Stratecast OSS/BSS competitive strategies practice. Whitelock brings more than 20 years of communications industry experience focused on OSS/BSS from an industry analyst, business strategy, competitive marketing, operations management and software development perspective.
Karl M. Whitelock has worked at a large local exchange carrier, global business-consulting firm, network management software developer, industry analyst/business strategy organization and a large test and measurement supplier.
Whitelock was one of the original founders of Stratecast – a division of Frost & Sullivan focused on the business strategies of the communications industry, where he established the OSS/BSS telecom industry practice.
In his new role as Senior Consulting Analyst for the Stratecast OSS Competitive Strategies (OSSCS) program, Whitelock will be involved with the OSS/BSS needs of the communications industry through direct interaction with executives from both the vendor and service provider community. With his first-hand business analysis and real-time operations experience he will address the on-going research needs for both syndicated and custom project requirements. Whitelock will continue supporting the Stratecast team through its hallmark collaborative research model.
“We are delighted of Karl’s return to Stratecast’s OSS/BSS competitive strategies practice,” says Frost & Sullivan’s Global Head of the ICT Practice Joe Fristensky. “He brings a wealth of credentials and experience that will support our mission to help our clients achieve success in their growth strategies.”
Whitelock joins Stratecast’s OSSCS competitive strategies team headed by Dr. Lorien Pratt. He holds a BS engineering degree from the University of Utah.
