FTS (LSE: FTS), a global provider of Business Control, Billing & CRM solutions for communications service providers, will be providing a demonstration of the value of the new sector of telecoms technology, called Business Control Layer, at GSM>3G Africa on October 19th at 12:05pm.

Business Control Layer is a software layer in a service provider’s infrastructure which resides between the network and BSS allowing providers to dynamically adapt network or service behavior, at the customer level, in order to increase revenues and improve customer experience.

The first demonstration of the value of the Business Control Layer to an operators’ service will be provided by Norman Tutnauer, Vice President Worldwide Sales, who will deliver a presentation titled “Mobile Broadband – how do you make money?” in the Wireless Broadband Conference track on October 19th at 12:05pm.

As a key player in the African communications market, FTS will also be booth exhibiting at the event. The newly designed booth will see FTS unveil its fresh, new visual identity which reflects the sophistication and innovation of FTS’ Business Control, billing and CRM solutions.

On its stand (Booth D11), FTS will host a demo of the industry-leading Leap™ Billing solution which comprise integrated charging, customer care and billing. Providing solutions to all types of networks, including converged prepaid/postpaid, wireline and wireless, FTS’ Leap Billing captures events in real time, and responds to them based on a preconfigured set of business policies or actions, allowing operators to lower OPEX and reduce churn.

GSM>3G Africa is being held at the Cape Town International Convention Center, Cape Town from the 19th-20th October 2006. The event is the region’s leading telecoms show bringing together industry leaders from across the continent. The full conference program will cover the hottest topics in African communications, while the exhibition will allow delegates to network with over 3000 attendees.
