Intec, a supplier of BSS/OSS solutions to the global telecoms industry, announced today that Lannet, a major alternate provider offering fixed telephony and internet ADSL services to retail and corporate customers in Greece, has gone live with Intec Convergent Billing (Singl.eView). The news follows the recent announcement of a win for Intec Convergent Billing with a major carrier in the Asia Pacific region.
“We needed to replace an out-dated, unsupported retail billing system if we were to have the capability to quickly react to the market,†said Fotis Tsitsirigos, IT Manager Lannet. “The major advantage of Intec Convergent Billing is that it is a robust, capable platform that allows us to move from traditional telephony models and freely develop whatever we imagine or need to best respond, lead and compete. Following an impressive implementation with zero delays or problems, we are now cost-effective and independent with no necessity for outsourcing or external consultancy when responding to commercial challenges. This is critical for a relatively small company with limited resources.â€
Lannet operates in a crowded, deregulated market of ten alternate providers and the national fixed telephony company, OTE. With a fast-growing customer base, the company is successfully pursuing a new market share expansion plan of new products and services backed up by loyalty programmes, network development, investment, acquisition and alliances. The Lannet vision is to be the leading challenger in fixed telephony and broadband services.
Intec Convergent Billing is an advanced, modular billing, customer management and revenue management solution that can support and rapidly introduce new services for any type of operator, including wireline, wireless, 3G and IP. Since the acquisition of Singl.eView (now Intec Convergent Billing) 18 months ago, Intec has won a number of contracts for the solution with tier one carriers, launched version six with additional functionality and enhanced performance and scalability, and benchmarked the solution for scalability to meet the demands of major, high-growth customers such as India’s Reliance.
“We are delighted that the flexibility, performance and time to market advantages of Intec Convergent Billing will ultimately enable Lannet to reap the benefits of improved market share and leadership,†added Intec CEO, Kevin Adams. “In addition, the speed and trouble-free nature of the implementation project underlines the flexibility and robustness of our product.â€
