HGTelekom, a leading provider of results-oriented training programs for telecommunications and high technology companies worldwide, today announced that it has joined the OSS through Javaâ„¢ (OSS/J) Initiative, a working group of telecommunications industry leaders that provides standards-based Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and design guidelines for the development of component-based OSS systems. As a member of the OSS/J Initiative, HGTelekom will create a portfolio of OSS/J training courses targeting the knowledge requirements of telecommunication management, system architects, and developers.

“This change is effectively mandating the adoption of Next Generation OSS where business processes, enterprise data, and system interfaces are based on industry standards such as OSS/J and NGOSS. As an active member of OSS/J, HGTelecom we will work within the initiative to develop an approved training curriculum and suite of OSS/J courses that will be offered worldwide.”

Comprised of leading telecommunications service providers and technology companies, the OSS/J standards greatly facilitate the deployment of open and flexible SOA Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) in demand by service providers worldwide. OSS/J standard technologies provide the foundation for unifying legacy systems and new applications quickly and at low cost.
