Kabira Technologies, Inc. has named Manish Gupta vice president of global marketing for the company. Gupta is a seasoned executive, with an extensive track record, covering multiple segments of the communications industry. In his new position, Gupta will lead all marketing functions for Kabira, world-wide, including product management, product marketing, marketing strategy, public relations, and marketing communications.

Gupta’s experience includes leadership roles across a wide span of telecommunication technology and infrastructure companies in 3G, WiMAX, DSL, VoIP, e-commerce, webcasting, interactive television, and satellite communications. Previously, he has served on the Board of Directors of the WiMAX Forum and Aperto Networks, and was formerly the vice president of marketing and alliances at Aperto. Prior to that, Gupta has held global executive-level positions with Apple, National, Jetstream and Megisto. Gupta received his B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. from Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Santa Clara University in California.
