MetraTech Corp., the innovative charging, billing, settlement and customer care product provider, has strengthened its leadership team with two key executives. The additions are a response to the recent wins in the communications, transportation, and SaaS markets, the new regional headquarters in Asia Pacific and Latin America, and the dramatic increase in employee count.
Joining MetraTech as Vice President, Professional Services is Chevy Vithiananthan. Chevy is responsible for the company’s Professional Services Group globally. He brings to MetraTech over 17 years of leadership experience in professional services, corporate strategy, business development, and application strategy and development. He has an extensive background working with both start-ups and large multi-national firms in North America, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, including some of the world’s largest telecom, e-commerce, and digital media providers.
Chevy’s professional expertise spans high-volume systems design, implementation, integration, test, production operations, and ongoing maintenance. Most recently, Chevy managed a 100+ person professional service and application delivery team across the Americas for Comverse Technologies. His past clients have included eBay, British Telecom, France Telecom, Optus Communications, Embratel and Bellsouth International. He holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Commented Mark Dudman, MetraTech’s Executive Vice President—Engineering and Technical Operations: “Chevy’s decision to join MetraTech not only brings experienced, high quality leadership to our Professional Services Group, but the fact that we are now able to attract experts of Chevy’s caliber to join us underlines both our determination to deliver results for our customers and also the impact our company is making in the market. I am confident that Chevy will help our team to scale effectively to meet the growing needs of MetraNet users.”
At the same time, joining as Vice President, Human Resources is Bob Clancy. Bob is responsible for the company’s HR initiatives on a worldwide basis. He brings to MetraTech over 23 years of progressive Human Resources experience with the majority of this experience being with high growth technology companies. Previously Bob was Vice President of Human Resources for MRO Software, now part of the Tivoli division within IBM. While at MRO, he supported the worldwide growth of the company from 150 to 925 employees. Previous to MRO, Bob built the HR department as the first Human Resources professional for Progress Software and helped grow the organisation to 800 employees throughout the world. Both of these organisations sold software, provided implementation services and supported a growing customer base. Previously, he held HR roles at ImagiTex, Inc. and GCA Corporation. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Lowell.
Notes Scott Swartz, President and Chief Executive Officer – MetraTech Corp. “Although the economy is generally difficult, this is a time of growth and opportunity for MetraTech. Our recent wins demonstrate that we are rapidly growing and Bob and Chevy have been added to the team to meet the increased demand for our products and services.”
Swartz concluded: “Chevy brings experience to our Professional Services team that significantly increases our direct and partner-based delivery capabilities. Bob will help us take the company the company to the next level and maintain our strong culture during this period of rapid global growth.”
