Netcracker Technology offered up its congratulations today to 2018 Paralympic Gold Medalist and friend, Andrew Kurka. Netcracker has sponsored Kurka throughout his Paralympic journey since 2012 and is thrilled to congratulate him on winning two medals at the Winter Games this year in PyeongChang, South Korea.
Kurka secured a gold medal on the first day of the Paralympic Winter Games in men’s sitting downhill with a blistering time of 1:24.11, more than a second and a half ahead of the competition. On the following day, Kurka stood on the podium once again, earning a silver medal in men’s sitting super-G.
Together with this year’s Winter Olympics, the Winter Paralympics were hosted in PyeongChang. The 2018 Paralympic Winter Games brought together 569 athletes from 49 nations.
“Winning gold and silver medals at the Paralympics feels like a dream, I couldn’t be happier,” said Kurka. “I am so thankful for all of my teammates and for Netcracker, which has been with me every step of my journey.”
“Andrew is genuinely one of the hardest-working and dedicated people I know, and I couldn’t be happier to congratulate him on taking home not one, but two medals at this year’s Winter Games,” said Andrew Feinberg, President and CEO at Netcracker. “Despite the hurdles in his life, Andrew has persevered to achieve his dreams; it’s truly inspiring.”
Netcracker will also sponsor Kurka at the Adaptive Spirit 2018 event from April 5-8 in Vail, Colorado. The event, which is hosted by the cable industry, contributes to the U.S. National Paralympic Ski and Snowboard Teams, raising funds that directly benefit the athletes. Netcracker has been a sponsor for Kurka at Adaptive Spirit since his first appearance in 2015.
