Open achieved, during 2010 an important advancement in becoming a leader of BOSS (Business and Operations Support Solutions) solutions for Latin American operators.
“2010 was definitely a very good year for Open, meeting, and in some instances exceeding, our objectives of continuing with our growth trend and consolidating our position as leader in the market. In terms of new contracts we had a 79% increase, expanding our customer data base with leading operators of the region such as VTR in Chile, Claro Panamá, Costa Rica and the Gas en Electric Power Distributors of the Promigas Group in Colombia. We successfully advanced in the implementation projects in operators such as Cablevisión in Argentina, Claro in Central America, Open Mobile in Puerto Rico and in providing support to important projects and updating our platform in installed solutions, meeting our customer satisfaction objectives”, pointed out Hernando Parrott, Open’s New Business Development Vice-President.
During 2010, Open also released the seventh generation of Smartflex, which incorporates important improvements in its architecture through a new and light interphase for the end users, developed with APP technology; the incorporation of the Geographical Dimension to the information system; new Modules for Campaigns and Marketing to complement its CRM, Project and Contracts Management; new and powerful Configuration Tools and a new Customer, Products and Services structure. These new additions and improvements will allow service operators to manage their business in a more efficient manner reducing time-to-market of new products.
