Redknee (TSX:RKN), a leading provider of business-critical billing and charging software and solutions for communications service providers, has announced it has secured a multimillion dollar contract with Azur Congo Brazzaville, a subsidiary of group operator Bintel Ltd, to deploy Redknee s Turnkey Converged Billing (TCB) solution, as it prepares to launch its mobile operations in the market.
Azur Congo Brazzaville has selected Redknee s flagship billing and customer care platform to provide the tools to differentiate its service offerings and deliver an enhanced subscriber experience. This multimillion dollar contract is the latest development in Redknee s long-term relationship with the Bintel Group. In addition to its property in the Republic of Congo, Redknee proudly works with the group mobile network operator in other African markets, including Gabon and Central African Republic.
Bintel is proud of its reputation for entering high-growth markets with a thorough understanding of each of our markets, and delivering high quality, high value mobile telecommunication solutions to our customers. We are confident Azur s launch in the Republic of Congo will be representative of our successful Africa-centric strategy. As we have expanded across Africa and the Middle East it has become imperative that our success begins and ends with the satisfaction of our customers. For this reason, we have chosen to partner with the leaders in high-growth billing, customer care and Electronic Voucher Distribution (EVD) solutions, as we continue our growth strategy throughout the region, said Stephane Beuvelet, General Manager, Azur Congo Brazzaville.
Redknee s TCB solution will enable the Greenfield operator to realize the benefits of a fully converged real-time billing and customer care platform. With TCB, all of Azur s subscribers, irrespective of payment type or access technology, will be managed on one consolidated platform, allowing Azur to quickly launch targeted promotions and services. TCB s real-time capabilities will also provide the operator with tight revenue control and the ability to offer electronic, prepaid wireless airtime top-ups. This will reduce the need for retail store-fronts and helps to ensure its customers remain connected at all times.
This additional contract win further validates Redknee s strategy to provide scalable products that support the performance requirements of high tier and group services operators, said Redknee CEO, Lucas Skoczkowski. This has enabled us to partner with our customers as they expand their business to enable their services and network growth, build new revenue streams and gain profitability.”
