Starting today, Sage Telecom is adding high-speed wireless broadband Internet service to its slate of local and long distance telephone services. The new broadband service is the first wave of new high-speed Internet services being rolled out within Sage’s eleven-state service territory.
Coined eSageLink, this wireless broadband product joins Sage’s dial-up Internet service, with additional product launches scheduled during 2006. For this initial broadband effort, Sage is teaming with Omnicity, Inc., an Indianapolis-based company endorsed by the Muncie/Delaware County Chamber and Economic Development Group.
Timothy Sheets, Sage’s Director of Product Management, states that eSageLink was developed in response to numerous customer requests for a high-speed alternative in underserved markets. “This Muncie-area rollout represents a significant first-step in meeting our customers’ needs for such high-speed alternatives,†according to Sheets.
Founded in 1997, Sage Telecom provides local and long distance phone services, as well as Internet services, to residential and small business customers primarily in underserved rural areas and suburban communities within eleven states. The company has had unparalleled success and growth over the past decade by focusing on consumers in such markets. Offering innovative, competitively-priced alternatives and providing 24-hour live customer service have been keys to the company’s success.
