Broadband World Forum has confirmed the list of all-star speakers for this year’s event and it features seven of the biggest names in the industry. The speakers will be hosting a series of keynotes and debates that will cover the essential topics currently being faced by the industry.
The renowned speakers represent a wide cross-section of specialist areas, ranging from telecommunications and equipment providers to regulators and research. They join a packed agenda that comprises more than 300 expert speakers who will be sharing their unique insider knowledge on the industry and debating the topics that will shape the industry for years to come.
Visitors to the world’s premier event for fixed, mobile and cable operators will have the chance to hear these seven speakers talk and debate the important topics of the day. The seven not-to-be-missed speakers at this year’s Broadband World Forum are:
Don Stockdale, Chief of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau at the Federal Communications Commission. Prior to rejoining the Commission, Mr. Stockdale was a partner Bates White Economic Consulting and, before that, a partner at Mayer Brown LLP. Mr. Stockdale first joined the FCC’s Common Carrier Bureau (now the Wireline Competition Bureau) in 1994 as an attorney advisor and later as Deputy Division Chief and Associate Bureau Chief for Economics.
Federico Guillén, President of Fixed Networks at Nokia, will deliver a keynote address called The Power of ‘And’.
Howard Watson, CEO and CIO at BT Technology, Service & Operations at BT Group, will give a presentation on how building the best converged network in the UK is driven by customer need.
Sharlene Thiagarajah, CEO at TM Research & Development, will be taking part in a panel discussion that will look at the challenges facing the telco Internet of Things platform. The debate will cover system design, reliability, security and privacy.
Ronan Kelly, CTO, EMEA and APAC Regions at Adtran, will talk about restoring balance to the universe with next generation broadband platforms. And, along with Jean-François Fallacher, CEO at Orange Polska, he will take part in a debate that asks the global operators whether they will be ready for 2020
Michael Soileau, Vice President, Planning and Strategy at Comcast, will address the challenges and opportunities in the global broadband marketplace, specifically how they relate to understanding competition, improving the experience of customers and employees alike, and flexing a business to think creatively.
