Telrad Networks, a veteran developer of carrier-grade telecommunications equipment, has released the Commatch 1000 series of VoIP customer premises equipment (CPE) as part of its offering for Voice over WiMAX.
Commatch 1000 is a generic voice and data CPE, with full interoperability with the Commatch 6004 for immediate provision of all voice services through existing TDM infrastructure.
“We found that our customers were looking for an end-to-end VoIP solution for their WiMAX deployments,” said Rebecca Rachmany , Director of Marketing for Telrad Networks. “Following successful implementations and field trials of our Commatch 6004 solution, Telrad has been able to leverage its expertise to ensure full interop of the entire deployment, with the introduction of the Commatch 1000 series.
The Telrad Commatch 1000 series of VoIP CPEs with the Commatch 6004 V5.2 to SIP access gateway provides the operator a full voice solution with uninterrupted voice connections, while supporting a wide variety of applications, such as G.3 facsimile, payphone, calling line identification (CLI), and CLASS 5 features, including call waiting, call forwarding and other vertical services.
The Commatch 1000 series is designed to support standard SIP protocols, preserving the operator’s investment going forward, when the operator makes the move to a complete IP-based infrastructure with softswitch implementation.
