Telstra Corporation, Australia’s leading media communications company, has chosen Amdocsa leading provider of software and services to enable integrated customer management and the intentional customer experience(TM), as a key partner for an upcoming Operations Support Systems (OSS) transformation program.
Telstra has awarded this multi-year, multi-million dollar contract to Amdocs and Cramer (Cramer is now a part of Amdocs). Amdocs’ software solutions, including the new and unique Amdocs Service Management Suite and Cramer6 OSS Suite, were chosen by Telstra to reduce complexity and costs associated with bringing new Internet Protocol (IP)-based services to its wireline, wireless and broadband customers.
“Telstra is transforming its business to deliver a “1-click, 1-touch, 1-button, 1-screen, 1-step solutions” environment for customers and employees. Amdoc’s vision is a simpler IT environment that involves partnering with world-class suppliers using proven off-the-shelf solutions. We are pleased to welcome Amdocs as one of our partners in the Operations Support Systems (OSS) transformation space,” Mr. John McInerney, Director, IT Transformation, Telstra Corporation said.
The Amdocs OSS Service Management Suite will be used to help Telstra improve the management and fulfillment of services to its customers through the integration of its operational and business support systems (BSS). At the heart of the Amdocs OSS Service Management Suite is the innovative Business and Operational Support System Manager product or B/OSS Manager — the only offering on the telecom OSS market that spans both BSS and OSS.
The Amdocs OSS Service Management Suite enables a unified service view, a capability that is new to the market and which links OSS and BSS processes, helping telecom service providers like Telstra have a complete view of the customer, the network, and the service. The Amdocs OSS Service Management Suite also incorporates the Order to Activation solution and the company’s Customer Centric Service Assurance solution.
“Competition and convergence continue to reshape customer demand, and Telstra is transforming itself to deliver a superior experience to its customers,” said Michael Matthews, chief marketing officer of Amdocs. “To do that successfully requires that networks and infrastructure are ready and able to cope with the growing call for next-generation services. It also requires integrating customer-facing and network-facing systems in order to deliver and manage next-generation IP services. Telstra recognizes this, and we are proud to be a strategic partner in this transformation.”
