Sincera Consulting LLC has recently told OSS News Review that Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC), the second largest cable operator in the United States, has purchased its Simple Automated Services Interface (SASI) Loader. SASI Loader is a new product that allows users of Telcordia Technologies’ Granite Inventory application to automate end user activities in Granite that are large, repetitive, manual and time intensive.
SASI Loader lets Granite users automate bulk update activities that typically must be done manually through the Granite client, thus saving time, reducing costs and increasing data accuracy.
SASI Loader utilizes Granite’s Advanced Services Interface from Telcordia Technologies, their Java-based API that supports interaction with the Granite application and database. By using this API, the changes and updates processed by SASI Loader automatically honor the business logic built into Granite that governs the functionality of the application and validates the inventory data. Other methods for creating, updating and deleting records, which directly access the database, bypass Granite’s business logic and result in potential application errors, a difficult and convoluted upgrade path and possible data corruption.
Sincera provides software products, professional services, training and custom development to users of Telcordia Technologies’ Granite Inventory application.
