Union Telephone has chosen IDI’s CostGuard® solution to replace its existing billing and OSS systems. IDI Billing Solutions (IDI) is a leading developer of telecommunications billing, rating, order management, workflow, customer management and sales solutions.
Union Telephone Company was established in 1914 and serves communities throughout Wyoming, northeastern Utah and northern Colorado. The company provides mobile and wireline service to both residential and business customers through 35 retail stores and authorized agents.
Union conducted an exhaustive search for a new billing partner before selecting IDI’s award-winning CostGuard application. In implementing CostGuard, Union will be able to leverage new technologies and rapidly build out additional service offerings for its customers using the application’s flexible product catalog and powerful rating engine. Union’s customers can also expect to see enhancements as CostGuard’s point of sale module brings additional care capabilities to the company’s retail stores.
Operationally, Union’s mobile and wireline businesses will be united under the CostGuard application, creating a convergent view of the company’s sales, inventory, product management, financial, retail and customer service operations. Union will also use CostGuard’s open architecture and standard APIs to establish new partnerships and complete integration projects that improve information flow and efficiency throughout the business. Productivity gains are also expected as IDI’s high-performance solution helps reduce the time and effort required to complete regular billing operations.
