Volubill, a leading provider of real-time policy management and charging solutions, will lead the discussion on evolving communications services differentiation and pricing strategies at TM Forum’s Management World 2010 conference, May 18-20 in Nice, France. Volubill executives will be joined by customer executive Bruno Goes of France Telecom to lead three sessions focused on monetizing 4G, policy management, and customer experience management (CEM).
The amount of digital data produced in 2009 increased by 62 percent over 2008, illustrating the impact complex data forms like video and the proliferation of multimedia-friendly devices like iPads have had on consumers’ appetites for mobile data. Tied to traditional, ineffective flat-rate pricing models that can’t support the cost of delivering more data to customers, communication services providers (CSPs) face rising service quality complaints as networks experience more congestion. Operators are desperate for more effective network management and service pricing strategies to capitalize on customer demands for more data.
“Operators at Management World this year will be looking for ways to leverage subscriber data to monetize network traffic more effectively before the revenue-cost disconnect becomes truly insurmountable,” said John Aalbers, CEO, Volubill. “The move to 4G networks is probably mobile operators’ best chance to escape the flat-rate pricing limitations at the root of these problems, but the move requires very targeted strategies. Our busy agenda will help operators create a plan for navigating all these issues.”
Volubill and France Telecom executives will lead the following sessions at Management World 2010:
