VOSS Solutions has acquired its 100th cloud communications service provider customer. This major milestone confirms VOSS Solutions position as the world’s leading cloud fulfillment vendor for unified communications.
Mike Frayne, VOSS CEO commented, “We now have over 80% of the world’s Tier-1 carriers as customers and we are rapidly acquiring a range of leading Tier-2/3 service providers. This milestone validates all the hard work that has gone into creating our management solutions that not only help the service providers to lower costs and simplify their operations, but also benefit the end-customer organizations, who can now move to the cloud seamlessly and achieve much higher rates of UC adoption on a purely consumption model.”
VOSS has been the service provider industry’s UC management platform of choice to operate and administer their cloud communications platforms; and customer adoption rate shows no sign of waning. VOSS also has a number of customers in the large enterprise and managed services space, and has a strong footprint through its growing partner network.
With such a rich, diverse and global cloud service provider customer base, this confirms VOSS’ leadership in the cloud communications fulfillment market. And, with so much momentum in the industry, VOSS has recently released a timely product update, to address the evolving demands of its cloud service provider customers. New features include:
— Agile Orchestration – flexible design templates and workflow configuration, while maintaining a standardized on-boarding processes – to achieve seamless migration to the cloud
— Flexible and highly intuitive management portals for administration and self-service
— Operational adaptability to better fit end customers’ business models (e.g. hybrid deployment model)
— Advanced user profiles and entitlements management
— Multi-vendor management
— Enhanced integration capabilities into the OSS/BSS layer
— Intuitive wizards
— LDAP/AD integration
Third party application integration, such as attendant consoles, call recording applications, etc.
The concept of equality between on-premise and cloud is a critical success factor to selling cloud communications solutions. This latest VOSS product release for cloud service providers puts cloud deployment models on an equal footing with on-premise deployment features, for the first time. Because VOSS delivers this capability, cloud service providers are in a very strong position to compete for enterprises with sophisticated on-premise communications infrastructures. With VOSS, cloud service providers are able to offer enterprises a choice between standardized templates (off-the-rack) or the ability to modify these templates to achieve feature equality with their current design (off-the-rack, but with alterations).
The traction in the UC fulfilment management market has led to the creation of a new industry category called Business Communications Operation Management (BCOM), focusing on the importance of successful UC deployments and operations. VOSS was selected as a UC management vendor to be included in the category.
Jim Ortbals, VP Global Sales at VOSS Solutions, commented, “VOSS has a proven track record in providing scalable and flexible UC management platforms to carrier grade organizations. This puts us in a great position to support the enterprise market; as they either move to a cloud model to ensure their requirements are met, or opt for a standalone on-premise UC management solution.”
