VOSS Solutions, the leading provider of unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) service delivery and management software, has closed $10 million in Series C private equity funding. Intel Capital – Intel Corporation’s global investment organization – led the Series C round and was joined by existing investors Eden Ventures and XAnge. Eden Ventures and XAnge led VOSS’ Series B in 2008.
VOSS will use the new funds to fuel its growth in the UC&C service delivery and management market, and to support the evolution of its technology solution which has already been deployed in more tier-1 service providers than any of its competitors, including AT&T, BT and Qwest.
Whether from industry analysts, the media, or global corporations; there is growing interest in the market place around UC&C management. This is because, as UC&C infrastructures become increasingly complex, large enterprises and service providers need a centralized management platform to simplify administration. VOSS is in a very strong position to take advantage of this market opportunity, as its solution is designed to support large and complex UC&C environments, and is a vendor that manages the entire lifecycle of UC&C applications and services, providing tremendous value and return on investment to its customers.
“With the growth of IP communications in enterprises, we are truly excited about future evolutions in this field.” said Marcos Battisti, Intel Capital’s Managing Director for Western Europe and Israel. “Service providers recognize the competitive advantage in offering the latest unified communications and IP telephony services and applications to their enterprise customers. VOSS’s innovative technology enables them to roll out and manage UC services quickly and cost-effectively. This investment from Intel Capital demonstrates our commitment to making the latest technologies easily accessible to enterprise employees.”
Mike Frayne, CEO at VOSS Solutions added; “2011 is a very important year for VOSS Solutions. With a strong customer base, a healthy pipeline and loyal support from partners, we are also in the advantageous position as market leader of a technology solution that all major service providers and large enterprises will need to acquire in the foreseeable future to successfully administer their increasingly complex UC&C infrastructures.”
