Martin Group, the nationwide leader of Software, Business Services, and Engineering for communications providers, today announced the promotion of William Schleich to Vice President of Development and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As CTO, Mr. Schleich will align technology vision with business strategy by integrating processes with the appropriate technologies for Martin Group clients. He assumes this new responsibility immediately and continues to report to Jim Odom, CEO.

Mr. Schleich’s leadership as CTO will drive those efforts.”
Mr. Schleich’s career in the computer industry began when he joined Martin Group Inc. in 1978 after he completed his education at Mitchell Technical Institute (Electronics, Telephone and Computers) and continued his studies at Dakota Wesleyan University (Math, Physics). In his 27 years he has worked in many areas of the computer industry and held positions including Computer Software Specialist, Systems Manager, Systems Analyst, Network Design, Systems Design, and Project Management.
Mr. Schleich’s hardware platform experience includes microprocessors, DEC PDPs, VAX, Alpha and PCs. The operating systems he’s worked with include RSX-11M, UNIX, VMS, and the various Microsoft Windows platforms. His database experience includes RMS, Sybase and Microsoft SQL. Mr. Schleich has programmed in Fortran, Cobol, VAX Basic, ADA, Pascal, Macro-32, Machine Language, Visual Basic, Visual C++, C, Java, JavaScript, JSP, HTML, ASP, and the latest .NET from Microsoft.
